There is no technology that can disclose what type of organism is causing an infection that can be used by a non-trained person, outside of a laboratory that doesn\u2019t require expensive instrumentation. Our portable swabs are cost effective and can be used across the healthcare and other sectors.<\/p>\n

We will disclose what organisms are causing the infection to assist clinicians and medical teams from determining the best course of action. By sampling ill patients when they present with unknown potential infections prescribers will be better informed about how to proceed \u2013 avoiding misprescribing the wrong type of antibiotic or unnecessarily prescribing when it\u2019s not needed. This is vital for antibiotic stewardship across the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n
